At Wilkinson Mather Home Inspections we strive to achieve a high level of service for all clients. One way we can relieve the stress for Landlords is our service to combine your EPC with your PAT Testing requirements.
Why Portable appliance testing?
In any business, as well as the fixed electrical system installed in a building, items of electrical equipment connected to the buildings installed electrical system by a plug and socket need to be inspected and checked for safety, in order to:
- Comply with the Electricity at work regulations
- Comply with the Provision and use of Work equipment regulations
- Comply with Health and Safety requirements
- Minimise the risk of fire and or injury to employees and guests caused by electrical equipment
- To satisfy insurance companys
The PAT Testing consists of:
- A user Check: Carried out by the user and not recorded unless a defect is found.
- Formal Visual Inspection: A recorded inspection carried out by a competent person
- Combined Inspection and test: Recorded Inspection and appliance test carried out by a suitably qualified PAT Tester, using an appliance tester.
Why Wilkinson Mather Home Inspections?
Our PAT testing operatives are qualified to City and Guilds standards in the Inspection and Testing and the Management of appliance testing, using a Seaward Supernova Pat tester.
We can combine the PAT Testing with an Energy Assessment (EPC) for residential Landlords, taking away a bit of the stress of getting covered.The first 5 appliances tested are free, thence £1:50 per plug, with full appliance administration managed on your behalf, Using our specific Seaward PAT Testing Software
If you require PAT Testing alone, our fees are £1:50 per plug, replacement of plugs at £1:50 per plug, free minor rewires and fuse replacement, and Microwave emissions test at £3:50 per test. All subject to a minimun charge of £50
It should be noted that the fixed electrical installation in a property needs to be inspected by a qualified electrician registered with NICEIC.
Wilkinson Mather Home Inspections do not carry out fixed electrical installation testing. If an appliance is "hard wired" into the property we will only carry out a visual inspection up to the point where the lead enters the socket
